Dale E. Duncan
Dale E. Duncan, 78, of Cutler, passed away at 12:45 p.m, Saturday, April 5, 2008, at Rosewalk Village in Lafayette.
He was born Jan. 9, 1930, in Marion to George A. and Bertha Foreman Duncan. On Aug. 16, 1947, in Marion, he married Bessiemae Cooper, who preceded him in death on Sept. 14, 2001.
Mr. Duncan was a machinist and welder at Dana Corporation in Marion and Industrial Cab in Flora.
He was a member of the Valley View Baptist Church in Flora, where he served as a deacon.
Surviving are one daughter, Treva Shell (husband: Mike) of Bringhurst; two sons, Rodger Duncan (wife: Linda) of Mulberry and Dan Duncan (wife: Terri) of Lafayette; one sister, Barbara Gifford of Marion, two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister and one granddaughter.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday at Valley View Baptist Church. Pastor Bill Godbey officiated and burial was at Ball Hill Cemetery, Cutler. Memorials may be made to Valley View Baptist Church.
Reinke Funeral Home, Flora, was in charge of arrangements.
